Deliveries of Uzbek grapes, melons, apricots and other fruits are also expected in the near future. In 2023, 15 thousand tons of products from Uzbekistan were processed through the Astrakhan hub, and this year more than 6 thousand tons of potatoes, cabbage, onions and greens have already been received.
It is planned that in 2024 the volume of supplies will be doubled. In addition, cargoes from Azerbaijan, Iran, India, Pakistan, India and Turkey are transshipped through the hub.
In 2023, about 100 thousand tons of such cargoes were transshipped, and contracts for export of more than 3 thousand tons of grain to Iran have been signed for 2024.
The total investment in the development of the Astrakhan Logistics Hub, including the construction of a new terminal and modernization, will amount to more than 2 billion rubles.
It is planned that after modernization the volume of cargo traffic through the hub will increase to 15-20 million tons per year by 2030.
